Burn ban is in effect for Hendry County!LaBelle, Fla. – A burn ban is now in effect for unregulated fires for all of Hendry County as dry weather conditions impact the area. Learn More Notice of Road Work on CR835 (October 31, 2025) – Please be advised that beginning Monday, November 3, 2025, Hendry County’s contractor, Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC, will be conducting roadwork and asphalt paving services on CR835 from 27.8 miles south of US27 to 26.8 miles south of US27 in Clewiston, FL. Flagmen and traffic control signage will be in place to alert motorists and guide traffic. The speed limit will be reduced through the work zone. Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays and allow extra time for their commute. Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone. Road work operations will occur throughout the day and night from Monday, November 3 to Thursday, November 6. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change.
