Learn More Notice of Road Work on Old CR78 and Georgia Avenue (August 26, 2025) – Please be advised that on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Hendry County’s consultant, Tierra South Florida, Inc., will be conducting road work on Old CR78 from CR78 to SR29 in LaBelle, FL and on Georgia Avenue from 7th Street to W.C. Owen Avenue in Clewiston, FL. The road work includes drilling and obtaining pavement samples of the existing roadway. Traffic control signage will be in place to alert motorists and guide traffic. The speed limit will be reduced through the project area. Motorists should expect lane closures and possible delays throughout the duration of the road work operations and allow extra time for their commute. Motorists and pedestrians should use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.
