A deputy responded to reports of an intoxicated individual and made contact with a man later identified as Christopher Hurley, 36, of Stafford. According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, Hurley displayed slurred speech and an unsteady balance. Deputies also located an alcoholic beverage on his person. While being transported to the magistrate’s office, Hurley admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day and threatened the deputy, authorities said.
